Navratri – a Hindu festival of worship and dance

Worship
Navratri is a Hindu festival of worship and dance. The word Navaratri literally means nine nights in Nava – Nine and Ratri – nights. During these nine nights and ten days, nine forms of Shakti (metaphor for goddess Durga) i.e. female divinity are worshipped.

Navratri is divided into sets of three days to adore three different aspects of the supreme goddess or goddesses.

First three days
The goddess is invoked as a spiritual force called Durga also known as kali in order to destroy all our impurities, vices and defects..

Second three days
The Mother is adored as a giver of spiritual wealth, Lakshmi, who is considered to have the power of bestowing on her devotees inexhaustible wealth

Final three days
The final set of three days is spent in worshipping as the goddess of wisdom, Saraswati. In order to have all-round success in life, believers seek the blessings of all three aspects of the divine femininity, hence the nine nights of worship. (more…)

What do you mean by KAPISH?

Since few days, I am thinking to start a new blog on my personal website but I have not decide yet what should I write? I never write and do not want to but I develop. Yes, I am a developer not writer.

Today, I am again on wordpress site and found they offer us to start our own blog. Isn’t this inspiring? This inspires me to register a blog, my own blog with URL!, and write at least something.

Before few days, I was in a meeting and at the end of meeting someone asked me for my email address. Immediately, I replied to him with my email address and my email address has word “KAPISH”. The person who was writing down my email asked me “Jaymin, do you know meaning of KAPISH?”. I said “I am INDIAN and KAPISH is the name of LORD HANUMAN of Hindu Religion. I believe in him”. He said KAPISH means “Do you understand?”.

Many thanks to Wordpress for making me write at least something. And I start with something religious. What are you writing today?
